RUBBISH & LITTER COLLECTION

A detailed schedule of rubbish collection days is available at www.roebourne.wa.gov.au and is updated regularly for new land developments or contact Customer Services on 9186 8555.

The Shire encourages residents and visitors to maintain a litter free environment. Please secure all loads to ensure no debris escapes from your vehicle and don't litter the streets of our community.

The Shire of Roebourne runs a litter reporting program whereby non-profit organisations and community groups can collect rubbish and receive $6/bag. For more information contact Ranger Services on 9186 8555.

Waste Services

There are two waste service facilities located within the Shire of Roebourne, one in Karratha and one in Roebourne/ Wickham.

The Karratha 7-Mile Waste Facility is located off Dampier Highway approximately 10 kilometres from Karratha. The turn-off is on the left as you travel towards Dampier and is sign-posted.

Opening hours:
7.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Sunday
7.00am – 4.30pm Public Holidays excluding Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.
Closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday

Hazardous waste is accepted at the 7-Mile Waste Facility – details about what is accepted and how to obtain a permit are on our website www.roebourne.wa.gov.au.

The Roebourne/Wickham Waste Transfer Station is located on Roebourne–Point Samson Road, providing a general household waste service for residents in Point Samson, Wickham, Cossack and Roebourne.

Opening hours:
7.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Sunday
7.00am – 4.30pm Public Holidays excluding Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.
Closed Christmas Day, New Years Day and Good Friday.

Hazardous waste is not accepted at the transfer station.
